"Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God" (Colossians 3:1)
This verse is the foundation of my book Raised with Him and the inspiration behind this Set Your Heart audio-video series. But what does it actually mean to "set your heart" on God in the middle of real life—when you're frustrated in traffic, hurt by someone's words, or overwhelmed by circumstances you can't control?
In July 2025, during the Jubilee Year, I had a jarring experience in Rome that brought this question into sharp focus. I encountered Christians—ordained sisters and an elderly man—whose behavior was shockingly rude and unkind. It took me a while to process the contradiction: people who presumably spent their lives devoted to God, yet seemed entirely disconnected from His character in those moments. I realized that many of us, myself included, lack practical tools for applied Christianity—for actually reflecting God's heart when life gets hard, people get difficult, and our emotions run high.
That's what this series is about. Each video explores one attribute of God's character and shows you how to practically align your heart with His—not just during your quiet time, but in the messy, frustrating, beautiful moments of everyday life. Whether you're dealing with chaos you can't control, people who drain you, or just the general stress of being human, these practices will help you learn to set your heart on the God who is sovereign, gentle, just, wise, peaceful, hopeful, and above all, love itself. The ultimate goal isn't just to manage your emotions or get through the day—it's genuine heart transformation. Through small, intentional daily acts of following God's character, you become more like Him: patient where you were anxious, loving where you were judgmental, surrendered where you were controlling.
These are audio-guided meditations designed for your real life. You don't need to watch the screen—just press play and listen during your commute, while doing chores, on a walk, or whenever you need a spiritual reset. Each 15-25 minute practice includes grounding exercises, Scripture reflection, guided meditation on God's character, and a practical mission to carry into your day.
